About Joanna
Hi!
My name is Joanna and I moved to Copenhagen in 2019, and am studying to be a social worker at Copenhagen University College. I grew up in Høør, Sweden.
I have just finished my internship in Athens, Greece, where I have been teaching Swedish to unaccompanied refugees for 4 months. This I have done next to my main internship.
As a person, I am very professional, but maintain a personal style when I teach. Learning a new language should be fun and exciting! I am always looking for new methods to learn and how I can make teaching better. I am very quiet and calm and have a lot of enthusiasm, because Swedish is a wonderful language that I would like to share further with.

My lesson plans are intended for people who are beginners in Swedish. The material consists of 12 different themes: Presentation, The Family, My Home, Time, My Leisure, etc. Based on the theme, we go through the basic parts of the Swedish language. The purpose of working with these themes is to create concrete coherence for Swedish learning, and to create spaces by practicing the language in harmony with the surrounding society.
