About Spencer

With 10 years of experience as a Spanish tutor, I have had the privilege of teaching around 150 High School and College students. My teaching philosophy is centered on helping students understand the language naturally through practice, communication, and continuous encouragement. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when lessons are adapted to their individual learning style.

My classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation practice, reading, writing, and listening activities. Instead of only memorizing rules, students learn how to use Spanish in everyday situations. I include games, discussions, role-playing, and cultural topics to make every lesson enjoyable and meaningful. I also provide regular feedback so students can clearly see their progress.

A notable achievement in my teaching career has been helping many students improve their grades and develop confidence in using Spanish inside and outside the classroom. Watching students become independent learners is one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.

I always aim to create a positive classroom where students feel respected, motivated, and excited to learn. My goal is to help learners develop strong communication skills and a lasting interest in the Spanish language.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology combines creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability to create an engaging and effective Spanish learning experience. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my lessons to match each learner's pace, interests, and personal goals.

I use interactive conversations, storytelling, games, videos, role plays, reading passages, listening exercises, and writing activities to make learning enjoyable and practical. Students actively participate during every lesson, allowing them to build confidence while improving all language skills.

Critical thinking is encouraged by helping students understand grammar logically, discover vocabulary through context, and communicate using their own ideas. Students learn how to solve language challenges independently instead of depending only on memorization.

As a mentor, I encourage students to believe in their abilities while providing patient explanations and continuous support. I create a classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing, asking questions, and learning from mistakes.

Accountability is maintained through realistic learning goals, regular revision, practical homework, progress tracking, and personalized feedback after every lesson. Students can clearly see their development and remain motivated to continue learning.

Besides Spanish, I also teach grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation, conversation practice, reading, writing, listening comprehension, beginner Spanish, travel Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture using authentic resources whenever possible.

My aim is to help students become fluent, confident, and independent Spanish speakers through enjoyable lessons and consistent practice.
