About Johana
I am a student in Visual Arts for 3 years, but passionate about arts and culture since always. I took courses taught by artists, philosophers and art historians at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris), from the Renaissance to the contemporary period. I have solid historical knowledge in terms of painting, sculpture and photography. The study of Cinema is also associated with the History of Art and I am able to teach the theory and history. I am also passionate about historical costume. My knowledge of the history of fashion is broad in the field: from antiquity to the 80's.

My teaching can be global or more specific to an artistic movement or to a period of history according to the desire of the student. My class will be illustrated with visual examples, whatever material you choose. Each artistic movement will be analyzed and contextualized. Each course of Art History will be led by an explanation of the dominant thought and technical advances. Art critics and philosophers will also be cited. Biographies of artists and analyzes of works are possible. My History of Fashion courses will focus on Western women's fashion. Men's fashion can also complete the course for some decades. Cultural influences and the political context will be clarified to better understand how the ideal of beauty and fashion trends evolve over the centuries. The famous designers and figures who have marked each period will be mentioned.
