About Katie
I have three years of experience working in education, I finished my Associate of Arts about a year ago, and I'm in the process of earning my Bachelor of Science in Education. I'm a current student teacher, and educating children and young adults is my passion. I specialize in differentiated instruction for students who may not perform well in the typical classroom setting and/or with the "usual" style of lessons. My favorite subjects have always been writing and reading, and I love to share my knowledge and expertise with students while creating a fun and upbeat learning environment.

I enjoy designing and providing lessons that utilize a variety of activities so that students with a variety of learning styles have the best opportunity possible to succeed. I like to provide games or fun activities whenever possible in order to make lessons interesting and engaging. I have experience in lesson differentiation, and I love to identify a student's need and design a lesson activity that suits that need. I primarily work with elementary and middle school students, but I also teach writing techniques to students on a high school level.
