About Jay
I am currently a medical student at St Andrews, who has developed a strong interest in science and maths through my time in secondary school. As someone who knows that subject matter can often be hard to understand and get to grips with, one reason I wanted to become a tutor was to inform others on learning and consolidation practices that really benefited me when revising for my QS exams.

Prioritising tutoring for QS examinations in Scotland, with a focus on students currently in S3-S5 (ages 14-17), that are studying National 5’s and Higher. However I’m confident in teaching younger years too (National 4, Primary etc.). I achieved straight A’s in National 5 and Higher, developing a particular interest in science and maths as I went on into my Advanced Highers, where I scored an A grade in Maths and Biology and a B in Chemistry. Lessons will be by the hour and focus on identifying the students' strengths and weaknesses on a subject, implementing study techniques that work well for the student to allow them to gain a better understanding of their subject. Questions are always welcome, and lessons will be an hour each.
