About Aiman

Hi, I'm Aiman — a mathematics tutor with a genuine passion for numbers and an even bigger passion for helping students fall in love with them too.
My journey with maths started with a great teacher and a curiosity that never stopped growing. That combination made me one of the top maths students in my class — and it also made me realise something important: the right guidance at the right time can completely change how a student sees this subject. That's exactly what I want to be for you.
I completed my FSc, and throughout my academic journey, maths was never just a subject for me — it was something I genuinely enjoyed. And now, after 2 years of tutoring, nothing makes me happier than watching a student go from confused and frustrated to confident and capable.
I also want to say something that most tutors won't — if you're shy, quiet, or an introvert, you are especially welcome here. I understand that feeling of hesitating to ask a question because you're afraid of being judged. I've felt it too. In my lessons, there are no silly questions, no pressure, and no judgment. Just a safe, calm, and friendly space where you can learn at your own pace and finally feel comfortable with maths.
If you've been looking for a tutor who truly understands you — not just the subject — then I think we'll get along just fine.

About the lesson

Mathematics has always been seen as a difficult subject, but I truly believe that with the right guidance, every student can not only understand it but also enjoy it.
Over the past 2 years of home tutoring, I've learned that every student is different. So instead of following a fixed method, I listen first. I try to understand where you're finding it difficult and why, and then we work through it together — at your pace, not mine.
From there, I create a personalised learning plan that breaks down complex topics into simple, clear, and logical steps. I use visual aids, real-life examples, step-by-step problem solving, and regular practice exercises to make sure concepts don't just stick — they make sense.
Each lesson is typically 60 minutes long, giving us enough time to review previous work, introduce new concepts, practise together, and finish with a quick summary. I also share notes and practice questions after every session, so your learning continues beyond our time together.
With over 2 years of hands-on home tutoring experience, I have worked with students of varying abilities and helped them overcome their fear of maths, improve their grades, and grow in confidence. Moving online now allows me to bring that same dedication and personal attention to even more students around the world.
My lessons are open to students of all ages — whether you're in primary school, just getting started with numbers, at Matric level, building a stronger foundation, or in FSC tackling more advanced topics.
These are the levels I specialise in, and I'm fully committed to giving every student the best guidance I can.
