About Irien

Hi, I'm Irien Jojo. Over the past couple of years, I've been teaching economics to students across different levels — from high schoolers just getting introduced to the subject to college students working through more advanced theory. My background in teaching economics for 2+ years rather than a formal economics degree, has actually shaped how I teach — I focus on connecting economic concepts to real-world situations rather than just textbook theory, which helps make ideas click faster and stick longer. I got into tutoring because I've always found economics fascinating once you past the jargon, and I enjoy helping students get to that same "aha" moment.
I keep my sessions relaxed and judgment-free, so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes without pressure. Whether you're just starting out or prepping for an important exam, I tailor each lesson to your pace and goals.

About the lesson

I offer online economics tutoring for students at all levels — from high school through college/university, including exam prep for board exams and competitive tests. With hands-on teaching experience, I know how to adapt my approach to each student's pace, learning style, and goals.
My lessons cover both microeconomics and macroeconomics, and I focus on making concepts intuitive rather than something to just memorize. I use real-world examples, clear diagrams, and plenty of practice problems to help ideas click. I also help with homework support, essay writing, exam technique, and building genuine confidence with the subject — not just short-term grade fixes.
All lessons are conducted online, making it easy to schedule sessions that fit your routine. Whether you're a beginner trying to get comfortable with the basics or a student aiming to sharpen your skills for an upcoming exam, I tailor each session to where you are and where you want to get to.
