About Shakila
I am a reading interventionist with a strong background in literacy instruction and supporting students at all levels. I specialize in helping struggling readers build foundational skills in phonics, fluency, and comprehension through structured and targeted support.
With years of experience working with students in both small group and one-on-one settings, I understand how to identify gaps quickly and create a plan that leads to real progress. I meet each student where they are and provide clear, step-by-step instruction that helps them grow in both skill and confidence.

I work with students to build strong phonics skills, improve fluency, and strengthen comprehension so they actually understand what they are reading. My approach is structured, engaging, and tailored to your child’s specific needs and learning style.
Whether your child is just learning to read or needs extra support catching up, I create a safe and encouraging space where they can grow in both skill and confidence. My goal is simple: real progress, not frustration.
Sessions are personalized, and I also provide strategies that parents can use at home to support continued progress between lessons.
