I offer structured and principle-based chess coaching designed to help students improve their decision-making in any position.
My teaching approach focuses on developing a clear thought process grounded in fundamental chess principles.
We begin by building a solid opening repertoire, then expand into deeper strategic and practical understanding of the game. I strongly emphasise the idea that active play and initiative are key. My teaching style is grounded in the philosophy that attack is the best form of defence.

Be prepared to gain some serious rating points working with David! It sounds like clickbait, but it’s just true. I found David when I was bouncing around 900-1000 on chess. com and couldn’t progress any further. Within 3 months of working with David and learning his thinking process and approach to the game, i’m closing in on 1500. Dave is a super coach!
