About Asad ur
Hi, I'm Asad, a PhD candidate in Structural Engineering at the University of Houston and a tutor with over five years of university teaching experience in the US and abroad. I've helped undergraduates pass tough core courses, supported graduate students through their theses, and guided beginners who thought engineering math was "just not for them." My PhD research in AI for civil engineering keeps me current with both classical theory and the latest tools, but my real strength is breaking complex ideas into small pieces that finally make sense to the student in front of me.

My approach is simple: build real understanding first, formulas second. Every lesson starts with a quick check of where you're stuck, moves into a clear, example-driven explanation, and ends with you solving problems while I guide only when needed, that way you leave each session more independent than when you arrived. I tutor Civil and Structural Engineering subjects (Reinforced Concrete Design, Finite Element Analysis, Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering, Mechanics), Math, and Python and Deep Learning for engineering research. Lessons are suited to high school students preparing for engineering programs, undergraduates struggling with core courses, and graduate students working on theses, qualifying exams, or research projects. Pace and depth are tailored to each student.
