About Erik

I am a dedicated and passionate ESL tutor with over 6 years of experience helping students of all levels improve their English communication skills. From complete beginners to advanced learners, I have successfully guided more than 150 students in building confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. My goal as a tutor is to make learning English clear, enjoyable, and practical for real-life use.

I strongly believe in personalised learning. Every student has a different learning pace, background, and goal, so I carefully design lessons to match individual needs. Whether a learner wants to improve daily conversation, academic English, business communication, or exam preparation, I create structured lessons that focus on their personal objectives.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive. I use simple explanations, real-life examples, role-playing, and guided practice to help students speak with confidence. I focus on building strong grammar foundations while also developing natural fluency. I regularly assess progress and adjust my teaching methods to ensure steady improvement.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching strategy is built on Flexibility, Empathy, Compassion, Communication, and Collaboration, ensuring that every learner feels supported, confident, and motivated. I understand that each student has a different learning pace, background, and goal, so I customise every lesson to meet individual needs—whether the focus is speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, or exam preparation.

Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson plans instantly based on the student’s progress, interests, and challenges. I use real-life examples, role-plays, discussions, and interactive activities to make learning natural and practical. Empathy and compassion guide my teaching style, helping students overcome fear, hesitation, and lack of confidence while learning a new language.

Clear communication is at the heart of my classes. I explain concepts in a simple, structured way and encourage students to ask questions freely. I also correct mistakes gently, ensuring learners improve without feeling discouraged. Through collaboration, I work closely with students to set goals, track progress, and build strong language habits.

Beyond ESL, I also teach related subjects such as basic communication skills, public speaking foundations, vocabulary development, and academic language support. My goal is not just to teach English, but to empower students to use it confidently in real-life situations.
