About Renfred

I am Renfred, a Mathematics and Computer Science student at the University of Toronto with a passion for helping students succeed in STEM subjects. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable concepts and helping students develop confidence in their abilities.

My approach focuses on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and encouraging students to think critically rather than rely only on memorization. Through clear explanations, practical examples, and personalized guidance, I help students better understand challenging topics and achieve their academic goals.

I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, preparing for exams, and developing the skills needed to become independent learners.

About the lesson

I believe effective learning comes from understanding concepts deeply rather than simply memorizing formulas. My approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps while helping students develop problem-solving skills and confidence.

My teaching methodology is personalized to each student's needs. I first identify their current level, strengths, and areas for improvement, then adapt lessons to match their learning style. I use clear explanations, real-world examples, guided practice, and targeted exercises to ensure students understand both the "how" and the "why" behind each concept.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and a discussion of any challenges the student faced. I then introduce new concepts using intuitive explanations and examples before moving into practice problems where I guide the student through the reasoning process. Each lesson ends with a summary of key ideas and recommendations for continued improvement.

What sets me apart is my focus on building long-term understanding and independent problem-solving ability. Rather than only preparing students for the next test, I aim to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed academically.

My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students studying Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, and other STEM-related subjects. I also support students with exam preparation, homework assistance, and strengthening their foundations in challenging topics.
