About Dimitry

Hi there! My name is Dimitry, and I am a state-certified teacher and professional educator with over ten years of experience in public, private, and specialized corporate classrooms. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from Bard College and a Bachelor of Arts in English, which allows me to bring deeply researched, professional methodology to every single session. My expertise spans across English Language Arts (ELA), creative writing, reading comprehension, and intensive ESL for adult professionals looking to advance their careers. Throughout my career, I have worked with incredibly diverse groups of learners, from public high school Honors English students to adults building real-world conversational fluency. Additionally, being fully fluent in Russian gives me an exceptional understanding of how to coach non-native speakers through the exact cultural and linguistic shifts needed to master natural English phrasing. Outside of the academic classroom, I bring a unique blend of creativity and structure to my work. I run a registered digital video production agency and have years of experience coaching sports, which means I understand the value of discipline, pacing, and goal-oriented focus.
