About Chris

I have studied in a variety of settings, ranging from community colleges to my undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where I obtained my BS in Biology. I believe learning is lifelong, and I am a student myself, currently in medical school.

I am committed to your educational growth, and can make the following promises during our time together:

I track and share a log of all hours worked and amounts charged. I believe transparency is vital to the tutor/tutee relationship.

About the lesson

My focus is not on giving you answers, but rather the knowledge to find the answer yourself. I have extensive experience working with students of various backgrounds and ages, ranging from elementary school to graduate school. My background is in biology, but I am able to teach all core sciences and most levels of mathematics.

Typical lessons will run for 1 hour, with part of the first session dedicated to learning about your current understanding of the subject, goals for tutoring, and learning style. This helps guide me to provide the best tutoring strategy for you! Sessions are remote to allow for greatest flexibility in scheduling. I use Google Meet and share my screen on an iPad, allowing for us to work in real-time on problems.
