About CT
I'm a linguist and a native English speaker. I speak Chinese, Russian and German. I have taught English as a second language (ESL) for more than 20 years, and have had students of all ages. I also coach students for the SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE and MCAT. My students have been admitted to some of the world's best universities, including Stanford, Berkley and MIT.

I am friendly, cheerful and patient with my students. I require that they speak throughout the lesson, even if they make mistakes. Mistakes are part of learning. I encourage my students to prepare and to have notes if they wish, but I always require them to speak.
