About Julio

Hello! My name is Julio, I am a Spaniard settled in beautiful Scotland. I have been living in the UK for 7 years now, which has helped me develop my English to a point where I can confuse locals that can't really allocate my accent.
I am a Secondary teacher, my main subject is Physical Education, but working as a supply teacher I have covered several different subjects that have of course included Modern Languages.
I am easy-going, approachable and calm, I love being outdoors and Scotland is a great place to do this! but when the weather is not that good I enjoy a good Netflix show or a good movie, ask me what I am watching now and you'll always get something new for an answer.

About the lesson

Every student is different, and therefore teaching must be individualised as much as possible. As a teacher, I aim to personalise and adapt my lessons to every student.
Language learning is acquired by different ways, and because of this I combine listening and spoken activities that will help the student understand the structure and grammar of the target language in a more natural way rather than memorising these rules.
Depending on the progress of each student the lessons are taught in English and Spanish, moving towards almost entirely spoken Spanish lessons always depending on the student's preference and confidence.

Perfect! I’ve had several lessons with Julio now and found him to be very patient. He took time at the beginning of our sessions to get to know me and my reasons for learning Spanish and has spent time creating tailored lessons to help me reach my goals. Would highly recommend!
