About Sophie

I studied Sport, Health and Fitness BSc at St Marys University. Focusing on elite performance and primary aged inclusion. Specialising in Gymnastics and Horse Riding as an athlete. Confident in fitness academia. Qualified fitness instructor and gymnastics coach up to Level 2 British Gymnastics. Alongside SEN, free running and dance qualifications in gymnastics and Funfit (dyspraxia trained).

About the lesson

I am Sophie! My main passion is gymnastics; however, I love every sport! I am an Ex-Gymnast and Level 2 coach. Specialise in Men's artistic but am well versed in every discipline - Women's, Conditioning, Grassroots and Contortion. I have taken part in lots of sports growing up! I enjoy helping people to get active and moving in different ways; informing people of the importance of being active to aid mental health and productivity. I use different methods in my teaching and am a very tactile teacher. Hands on and practice! I like to use games, worksheets, investigations and verbal feedback to structure my lessons. Every child is clever. Every child is bright. Every child can succeed. Every child learns differently. "You can't do it YET but you will be able to one day"
