About Matthew

I’m a friendly and approachable Master's student studying Sport and Exercise Physiology, with a strong passion for sport, science and education. I enjoy helping students understand challenging topics and develop greater confidence in their abilities.
Alongside my university studies, I have completed work experience in a school, where I developed an interest in supporting students and teaching PE. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of physiology, exercise science and sporting performance, which I can bring into my tutoring.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working at their own pace. Whether you are looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams or simply feel more confident in PE or Biology, I will work with you to achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I aim to make lessons engaging and easy to understand while helping students build both their subject knowledge and confidence.
I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Physiology, giving me a strong background in human physiology, exercise science and sporting performance. I have also completed work experience in a school, with a particular interest in PE, giving me experience of working in an educational environment.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and can include clear explanations, questions, real-world examples and exam-style practice. I can also help students develop exam technique, including how to structure answers and apply their knowledge effectively.
I offer support for GCSE Biology, GCSE PE and A-Level PE, tailoring lessons to each student's level, areas for improvement and individual goals. Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic or preparing for exams, I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
