About Kayla

I am a dedicated Mathematics Major at Spelman College, currently pursuing a dual degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental Studies. My academic journey has been marked by a strong commitment to both mathematics and teaching, underscored by my recent experience as an Accelerated Precalculus Teaching Assistant for a summer bridge program. This program was specifically designed to help incoming college freshmen acclimate to the rigors of college-level coursework, where I played a key role in guiding students through challenging precalculus concepts.

In addition to my teaching assistant role, I also serve as a Math Lab Tutor at Spelman College, where I provide tutorial services across a variety of college-level mathematics courses, including Contemporary Mathematics, Intermediate Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. My approach to tutoring is rooted in patience, clarity, and adaptability, ensuring that each student receives the personalized attention they need to succeed.
