About Oh
Hi! I'm a Speech & Language Therapy graduate with experience working with preschool and primary school-aged children across mainstream schools and early intervention settings.
My background in speech and language therapy has given me a strong understanding of how children learn language, develop literacy skills, and overcome learning challenges. I bring this knowledge into my tuition by using evidence-based, child-centered teaching strategies to make learning engaging, meaningful, and tailored to each child's needs.
I believe every child learns differently. Rather than relying on memorization alone, I focus on helping students understand concepts, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to become independent learners. Whether your child needs support in English, reading, writing, phonics, comprehension, or simply a confidence boost, lessons are personalized to their pace and learning style.
I have experience supporting both mainstream learners and children with mild language or learning difficulties, and I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.

As a Speech & Language Therapy graduate, I use evidence-based teaching strategies to help children build strong language, literacy, and learning skills. Lessons are tailored to each child's learning style and focus on developing understanding rather than rote memorization. I incorporate explicit instruction, visual supports, guided practice, games, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging while building confidence. Where appropriate, I adapt my teaching to support children with mild learning difficulties or language-based challenges. (Please note that these are tuition sessions and not speech therapy sessions.)
Typical length of a lesson
* 60-minute lessons (recommended)
* 90-minute lessons available upon request for students requiring more intensive support
Qualifications and experience
* Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Speech & Language Therapy
* Clinical experience working with preschool and primary school-aged children across mainstream schools and early intervention settings
* Experienced in supporting children with diverse learning needs, including language, literacy, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills
* Individualized lesson planning based on each child's strengths, needs, and school curriculum
* Passionate about helping children become confident, independent learners

* Primary 1 & 2 children
* Children who would benefit from additional support in English, reading, writing, phonics, literacy, vocabulary, and comprehension
