About James

I’m a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine, having graduated from St George’s, London in 2021. I hold a First-Class degree in Biomedical Science and an MSc (Distinction) in Economics & Policy from King’s College London, completed whilst working as Doctor. I tutor Medicine, Science, Economics, and Medical School Entry Exams at GCSE, A-Level, and degree level. I also bring experience as a health-tech founder and educator, with a track record of helping students develop not just knowledge, but academic confidence and independence.

I will work hard to ensure my students get the results they want. I focus on conceptual understanding with exam tips and tricks rather than only memorisation.

About the lesson

My core aim is to build deep understanding — not just memorisation — so students can work things out on their own, now and in the future. I teach the logic behind the subject, helping you break down complex ideas, solve problems, and apply them confidently under exam conditions.

Expect lots of exercises and to be tested.

I tailor each lesson to your goals and strengths, building a personalised plan to suit your learning style. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, medical school interviews, or university exams, I’ll guide you with clear explanations, active problem-solving, and a focus on making learning enjoyable and meaningful. When students understand why something matters, they remember it — and use it for life.
