About Angela
I have been a special needs paraprofessional for 8 years.
In my experience as a paraprofessional, I have worked with students both individually and in small groups with grades ranging from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
While working with students in pre-k through second grade, I have worked with small groups of students with up to five students on both reading and math skills.
In reading, I have listened to the students read, reviewed sight words, reading comprehension questions, phonics, and letter sounds.
In math, I have run small groups and worked with students individually. I have helped students with skills such as counting, sorting, identifying numbers, big and small, positions of objects, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

I am very patient, flexible, and understand that all students learn differently. I will use fun things such as silly songs, voices, and other ways to keep students engaged. I was also a student with special needs, so I can empathize with the struggle of the students.
