About Amanda
I am trained child care provider in Early Childhood Education, perusing Montessori education. I am also a trained paraprofessional aide, substitute special education teacher. I am the older sister to a wonderful 21 year old brother with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. As I have discovered over my years involved in the disabled community, the importance to socializing, learning communication skills, problem solving, and planning for the immediate/distant future is VERY important on any child's self confidence. Gaining the tools to promote self happiness & goal achievement academically & socially.

I believe in the Montessori method, with treating children with respect and guiding them to achievement in knowledge social, academically, and emotionally. I also believe that the Montessori method is very effective for humans with disabilities education wise, along with that social and emotional growth. It is my goal to provide each student with the foundation to go out into the world with more self confidence and respect to achieve all realistic goals that they set for themselves. Along with educating the community on how having a disability seen and unseen is not something to be ashamed of but something to embrace as we all navigate through this world together.
