About Johanna

I love meeting new people and connecting with them. I am a mom of two, with having my own in school. I am active, passionate, creative, always willing and ready to take on new challenges. I love working with students, I feel blessed for the lovely opportunities and experiences that I have gained throughout the years. As a child, I was homeschooled in English by my mom. I attended high school in French when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away when I was 15. My last high school years were completed on my own, without any adult supervision. I had to become self-motivated. I completed my high school years on my own. I have learned to work alone, to grow through loss, becoming responsible for my own future at a very young age. I have a big heart, and great empathy for others. I know what hard work entails and I try to instill these qualities in my students and in my children. You can accomplish anything through ambition, self-motivation, and hard work. At 18 I moved to British Columbia to be with my other half. We married in 2011 when I was 19.

About the lesson

Dear student, I am a Special Education Assistant who supports students learning at home. I have a wide range of experience within the schools, and online, along with working as a substitute teacher. I am also experienced in planning class lessons. I speak both French and English fluently. I graduated high school in French and graduated university in English. Over the years and as an educator, I have worked in both French and English schools. This past year I worked from home and with a high school graduate. I am able and willing to work from home. I have worked as a Special Education Assistant since 2010 for the French School District 93, and I recently worked for District 33.
