I use a communicative approach where students speak and interact in Chinese from day one. Role plays, dialogues, real-life scenarios (like ordering food or introducing themselves at a party), and cultural activities (such as festivals, idioms, or Chinese songs) are part of my lessons to spark excitement.

To cater to different learning styles, I also mix visual tools (flashcards, videos), interactive games, and audio aids. For writing and reading practice, I break down Chinese characters with stories behind their origins to make them easier to remember.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up (5-10 minutes):

A quick review of the previous lesson with fun questions or short conversation exercises.
