About Ana

Oii! Eu sou a Ana! I’m very passionate about teaching Portuguese! My love for teaching stems from a desire to share my enthusiasm for life and learning with others. As a teacher, I strive to create dynamic and engaging lessons where pronunciation, vocabulary, and culture come together in a fun and enjoyable way, introducing the real-life Portuguese with slang, Brazilian music and that UNIQUE vibe only Brazilians have. Let’s learn Portuguese together, with plenty of music, stories and, of course, a good dose of fun! I'm currently studying Biotechnology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. I’ll be graduating at the end of the year! I'm absolutely fascinated by all things science — especially neurology. Just don’t talk to me about physics! Hahaha! I enjoy many things, such as reading, listening to music, discovering new cultures, and, of course, spending time with my family! Reading takes me to incredible places and helps me explore new perspectives, while music is a constant companion, adding emotion and energy to my day. My curiosity about the world drives my love for learning about different cultures and traditions.

About the lesson

Learning Portuguese goes far beyond memorizing grammar rules. In my lessons, the focus is entirely tailored to your needs and goals. I adapt the lessons to suit your interests, whether you want to improve grammar, expand vocabulary, or enhance listening comprehension. We will work with texts that reflect everyday situations and real-life dialogues, along with listening exercises and even some of the greatest Brazilian and Portuguese songs of all time. However, the main priority will be your pronunciation. I understand that to feel truly comfortable with the language, it’s essential to understand what people are saying around you. Good pronunciation opens doors to clearer and smoother communication, helping you express yourself confidently, whether you’re traveling, at work, or in casual conversations. Lessons are held online via Skype or Google Meet, providing flexibility to learn from anywhere. Additionally, learning with a native Brazilian offers a unique advantage: you’ll gain access to authentic teaching and cultural insights that only a native speaker can provide. To give you a taste of the method and to experience our learning pace, I offer a free trial lesson. The most important thing is that together, we’ll make Portuguese feel natural and enjoyable, tailoring each lesson so you can progress in the most efficient and fun way possible!
