About Ojelabi Mathew
Hello! My name is Mathew, a native Nigerian Yoruba teacher and an experienced educator who is passionate about helping people learn and enjoy the Yoruba language.
Whether you are a complete beginner, learning Yoruba for travel, communication, family, marriage, culture, or simply because you want to connect with your Nigerian/Yoruba roots, I am here to help you.
My lessons are simple, practical, friendly and easy to understand. We will focus on useful everyday Yoruba, speaking and pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, greetings, common expressions and Yoruba culture.
I teach children, teenagers and adults, and I carefully adjust each lesson to suit your level, age and personal learning goals.
You don't need to worry if you have never spoken Yoruba before. I am patient with beginners and will guide you step by step until you become more confident.

My lesson fee is ₦5,000 per hour. I offer personalised Yoruba lessons for children, teenagers and adults. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and learning goals. I am also happy to discuss a suitable lesson schedule based on the student’s availability.
