About Karis

I typically like to see what a student is working on in school or what their biggest need is. We review the topic they need help with and either use practice from their book or examples that I come up with from my own material. Depending on the level of student and what they are looking for, I will speak, read, write with and provide listening activities for the student. Immersion is the best teacher! I majored in Spanish in college, but I truly became fluent during my travels to Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras and Puerto Rico which all together equal about one year living abroad. I picked up even more valuable teaching skills during my time spent as a Spanish teacher in a private school just outside of Atlanta.

About the lesson

I come from a family of educators. Stuckers have been teaching for generations. I began with tutoring Spanish, but have since expanded to English and Writing as I saw the need arise.

Every lesson is adapted to fit your student’s needs and style of learning. After teaching in the classroom I know firsthand how easy it is for smart kids to fall behind. If educators cater their lessons to each individual student, the class would fail to accomplish what it needs to in a given school year.

That’s why I love tutoring so much. It gives me the chance to personalize your child’s learning experience as well as build a relationship with them.

I know all of my students and their families very well. Regular communication with parents is a given when you sign up for tutoring with me, so you’ll always know what’s going on with your child’s education.
