About Charlotte
Hello! I’m a fully qualified Modern Languages teacher with over two years of classroom experience. I specialise in Spanish for secondary school pupils (S1–S6), from beginners up to Higher level. My lessons are supportive, interactive, and tailored to each learner, helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. My teaching style is interactive, structured, and supportive. I focus on making lessons engaging by combining clear explanations with practical activities that encourage pupils to apply their learning. I adapt my methods to the needs of each learner, using techniques such as questioning, translation tasks, role-plays, and interactive exercises to build confidence and fluency. I also make regular use of real-life examples and cultural references to bring the language to life. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, though I can adapt to shorter or longer sessions depending on the learner’s requirements. Lessons usually begin with a short starter activity to review prior knowledge, followed by a focus on new material, practice activities, and finally a recap or reflection task to consolidate learning. I hold a BA degree and have over two years of teaching experience in Modern Languages, delivering lessons across a range of levels. I also have experience creating resources tailored to curriculum requirements. My lessons are suitable for secondary school pupils (S1–S6) studying Spanish, from beginners up to Higher/National 5 level. I also support learners who need extra practice with grammar, speaking, writing, or exam preparation.
