About Pilar
As a former language student myself, I have known the struggles of learning a new language. I learned that confidence is half of the way towards successful learning, and I can assure my students that they will let go of any fear from day one. Feeling free to make mistakes is the fastest way to learn and that is the first thing I incorporate in my approach. As a native speaker of Spanish and Masters graduate of Spanish, with 2.5 years of classroom teaching experience and 5 years of tutoring experience, I guarantee my students real quality learning with an unmatched relatability and enthusiasm. :)

My lessons are crafted so my students can crush their specific language goals. Using real-world subject matter, culture, enthusiasm, and a methodology that is easy to understand, my lessons can help uncover a new level of untapped potential. First I will evaluate my student’s proficiency to match the material taught. Each student learns differently and has different language goals, and that is where I incorporate the four different types of the language learning process (listening, speaking, reading and writing) into a meaningful lesson plan for each.
