About Jorah

Hi, my name is Jorah. I have 14 years of Spanish experience through a dual-language program provided by my school district and now at Oregon State University, where I am pursuing a double major in mechanical engineering and Spanish. My qualifications are that I have achieved a 3 on the AP Soanish Literature and Culture exam (even with being unable to access the required materials for the rest), a on the AP Spanish Language and Culture test and a 7 on the STAMP test, both of which demonstrate fluency in the language. While grades are not a measure of a student's ability, I have gotten nothing but A’s in my Spanish classes. I was also a member of the National Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars, a BigFuture Ambassador via the CollegeBoard, and an AP Scholar. I am also a Safe Sport certified athlete/coach (Safe Sport is used by all sports in the Olympics) Safe Sport requires a background check and training for athlete safety, both of which I passed. I hope to give students a safe and secure learning environment that will help them achieve their Spanish goals.

About the lesson

Helping students at any level of Spanish meet their goals as they strive for fluency in the language. Lessons will include reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Lessons will be held in mainly Spanish as that is the fastest way to learn a language, English will be used sparingly and only when needed.

This first lesson offered with Jorah will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details

$20/hr, $15/30mins, and the first hour of the first session is free, 5 and 10 hour lessons are not available at this time, all lessons will be remote.

For the STAMP test I have found many helpful and free resources for students, due to this, for the list to all of these resources as well as tips and tricks of the STAMP test there is an additional one time fee of $20.

For all tutoring, if worksheets are requested the price per session increases to $25 per session with new worksheets.
