About Charlise

Effective communication requires more than just memorizing vocabulary lists and verb conjugation tables. Imagine being able to walk through a market in a Spanish-speaking country and actually connecting with the people you meet. My lessons rely on 13 years of experience to prioritize everyday phrases and practical business Spanish over abstract concepts.

We work on your accent and intonation so you can be heard clearly while maintaining your own voice. I offer a free trial lesson to assess your current level and set a path forward.

Children and teens benefit from my storytelling approach to grammar and reading comprehension. This method makes the logic of the language feel like a natural puzzle rather than a chore. My goal is to ensure you feel prepared for your next journey. I leave you with the same warmth I bring to my music.

About the lesson

Mexico City is where my relationship with the Spanish language began before I moved to Australia to perform. My teaching style is deeply rooted in the cultural context of the language I love. Holding a Licenciatura and a BMus in Popular Music, I understand how to bridge the gap between academic grammar and the rhythm of natural speech. I work with families and individuals preparing for immigration or those simply looking to improve their travel experience.

Young learners and teens also find my cross-cultural perspective helpful when navigating a new language. My approach is friendly and patient because I know that language is inseparable from the person speaking it. I promise to keep our sessions grounded in the real world rather than just dusty textbooks. You will find my classroom to be a place where mistakes are just a part of the process.
