About Talia
My passion for Spanish grew from an interest in cultural exchange and language structure, leading me to earn a B.A. in Spanish Linguistics and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication. Over 9 years of teaching, I have supported learners at various stages, helping them develop fluency and cultural understanding through patient and structured guidance. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to speak freely and learn from mistakes. Lessons are adapted to individual goals, balancing accuracy with natural communication. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with Spanish through literature, media, and cultural research. Teaching Spanish is deeply fulfilling because I witness students gain confidence, independence, and the ability to connect meaningfully across cultures.

Spanish lessons are most effective when students feel comfortable using the language in meaningful situations. My lessons focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills together, helping learners communicate naturally and confidently. Grammar and vocabulary are introduced through context, conversation, and practical examples rather than isolated drills. Each lesson encourages active participation and steady progress.
Beginner students focus on pronunciation, core vocabulary, sentence structure, and everyday communication. Intermediate learners strengthen grammar accuracy, listening comprehension, reading fluency, and conversational skills. Advanced students refine expressive language, academic or professional writing, and nuanced discussion. Lessons include role-play, authentic materials, guided conversation, and personalized feedback.
Spanish instruction also builds cultural awareness, adaptability, and communication confidence. Students learn to interpret meaning within context and connect language with culture. My goal is to help learners feel confident using Spanish in real-life settings while developing skills that support long-term language success.
