About Van
Adult learners often struggle to bridge the gap between textbook exercises and real communication. My primary honest confession is that grammar drills alone rarely result in true fluency. Over 13 years in Washington DC, I have guided 409 students through the nuances of language acquisition.
My approach integrates cultural context through the rhythms of Latin pop and the dramatic narratives of telenovelas. I find that this method builds natural intonation and vocabulary retention effectively. Teaching remains a joy because I see how these tools help people finally connect with the world around them.
