About Anna

I’m a warm, creative educator who believes language learning should build confidence, curiosity, and connection. My experience across the Spanish-speaking diaspora has given me a deep appreciation for the richness of Spanish and the many cultures, voices, and traditions it represents.

About the lesson

Spanish is more than vocabulary and grammar—it is a living language shaped by many cultures, histories, rhythms, and ways of seeing the world. My lessons are personalized around you: your goals, interests, learning style, and the ways you hope to use Spanish in your life. Whether you are an emerging speaker, strengthening skills you already have, preparing for school or travel, or developing greater confidence for professional settings, we will create a learning approach that meets you where you are. I use real-world conversation alongside music, art, poetry, movement, and cultural materials to make learning engaging and relevant. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, writing, reading comprehension, professional communication, or a combination based on your needs. I especially enjoy helping students discover the richness and diversity of Spanish across the Spanish-speaking world. You will encounter different voices, expressions, accents, and cultural perspectives while developing the practical skills to communicate with greater ease. Most importantly, my lessons are a welcoming place to experiment. You don’t have to speak perfectly to begin speaking. We’ll build your skills and confidence together, one conversation at a time. ¡Vamos pa’lante!

Our time together may include a museum, cafe, cultural outing or event where appropriate for a lesson. We will build language confidence and fluency with reinforcement of practice, immersion improves neuro plasticity which allows language to develop naturally and fluidly.
