About Lily

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies, a Master of Arts in Spanish Linguistics, and a PhD in Spanish Language Education. During the past 13 years, I have worked with students from many backgrounds, helping them build confidence and practical language skills. My interest in Spanish began through cultural exploration, literature, and international communication. Teaching allows me to share that enthusiasm while supporting learners in achieving personal and professional goals. Helping students grow remains one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, patience, and meaningful communication. I believe students learn best when language is connected to authentic situations and practical use. Lessons are tailored to individual needs while maintaining a structured path toward improvement. Students receive supportive guidance that helps them build confidence and independence. This creates a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Outside teaching, I enjoy studying Spanish-speaking cultures, reading contemporary literature, and exploring language acquisition research. These interests bring fresh perspectives into my lessons and help keep learning engaging. Watching students achieve goals they once thought impossible is deeply satisfying. I strive to make every lesson practical, motivating, and effective. My goal is to help learners develop lasting fluency and cultural understanding.

About the lesson

My Spanish lessons are designed to help students develop confidence through a structured and supportive learning process. I focus on grammar foundations, verb conjugation, sentence construction, vocabulary development, pronunciation, and listening comprehension through clear explanations and practical exercises. Complex concepts are broken into manageable steps so learners can build understanding without feeling overwhelmed. Lessons emphasize both accuracy and communication, allowing students to progress steadily while gaining confidence. This approach creates a strong foundation for long-term success.

Every learner receives personalized instruction based on their goals and current level. Students preparing for travel strengthen practical communication skills, while learners adapting to Spanish-speaking environments focus on everyday interactions and cultural understanding. Activities include vocabulary drills, speaking exercises, reading practice, listening tasks, and grammar reinforcement activities. Regular feedback helps students recognize progress and improve efficiently. This consistent support encourages confidence and steady growth.

My goal is to help students become comfortable using Spanish in real situations beyond the lesson environment. As skills improve, learners become more independent and willing to communicate.
