About Alyeska

I have been speaking Spanish in school and at home with my mom for about 16 years. I have grown very comfortable with the comprehension of the language in various contexts and am aware firsthand of the most common mistakes that people can make if they speak English as their first language, and Spanish as their second. I have used Spanish outside of the classroom to help communicate with community members while volunteering and to facilitate interviews and research with people from Latin America.

About the lesson

My lessons are best fit for beginning to intermediate Spanish learners. The lessons will be focused around conversation in order to build confidence speaking and listening, and will be supplemented with some writing exercises, and assignments to watch TV shows with the subtitles. I believe that students can best learn in an environment of patience, compassion, and creativity, and so I hope to foster this within the virtual lessons.
