About Doha

I am a qualified language teacher graduated from the Sorbonne University and Bristol University with two Master's degrees in Linguistics and Translation Studies. I have been giving private classes for all levels, children and adults, for 7 years. Due to my work in a secondary school, I have developed a comprehensive idea about the curricula of languages in the UK. I have also been preparing GCSE Arabic speaking exams for many of our students together with full preparation for GCSE ARABIC and FRENCH.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching the language is first to trigger a kind of relationship and interest in the student with that particular language. There should be a target which interests the student as to why he wants to learn that language. Due to my work, I see students every day learning foreign languages and I can easily tell the ones who know why they are learning it and have a target to achieve through learning, like for example, I would like to travel to the country where that language is spoken or I love to understand songs in that language or a higher aim like I would like to understand a holy book written in that language.....these students, regardless of age, with a strong relationship with the language, find the language interesting, easy to learn and even fun. My ethos is capable, confident and responsible. A student should be equipped with a confident positive approach towards language learning and that the newly acquired language can be a real key to open up new opportunities in future life.
