About Bryan Esquelin

Hello! My name is Bryan R.

I have taken many math courses and have a clear understanding of the concepts. Furthermore, I work as a volunteer where I spend most of my time helping students learn math concepts. This experience has allowed me to refine my skills such as [a] The math concepts themselves [b] Teaching / Explanation of these concepts [c] Student interaction

I plan to apply all these skills to helping, and hopefully pick up more along the way.

About the lesson

I teach mathematics K-`12. Depending on which learning method you prefer and which works best for you, I will try my best to use that method.

I am big on using visuals when learning. Furthermore, after learning new concepts I like to make practice tests. These practice tests help me determine the concepts I have understood, as well as areas for improvement.

As previously said, I understand that each student is different and each has distinct methods of learning. Therefore, to make it as effective as possible I like to incorporate both.

First, I would start by getting to know the student and assuring that they feel comfortable asking for help and bringing up any concerns. Beyond that, we would focus on addressing the problem or the question that they have. This includes understanding what the problem is asking, and for anything unclear, being able to exactly pinpoint what needs further clarification. Afterward, we would review the steps and address any confusion.
