About Carol
I have always enjoyed spending time with children and building connections with them! I have been babysitting for over three years and was a summer camp counselor this past summer at Happy Hollow Park and Zoo, achieving 60+ hours. Additionally, I was a basketball coach for kids ages 5-11 and have informally tutored math and english for a neighbor. I am enthusiastic about learning, teaching, and assisting in student growth!

My teaching method is based on reading comprehension, critical thinking skills and analysis, creativity, uniqueness, and most importantly, understanding. I will make sure to prioritize the student's needs and interests first, and then build my lesson plan around them. A typical lesson plan will include a piece of literature, annotations, verbal discussion questions, and practicing writing skills with essay, short answer response, and long answer response prompts. My main goal is for students to develop their own writing techniques, style, and passion with the guidance I will provide.
