About Isla

I have 6 years of experience teaching Computer Programming to students ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for technical careers. I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science, which gave me strong foundations in algorithms, software systems, and computational problem solving. This academic background helps me teach coding in a way that is both structured and practical.

My teaching style is supportive, clear, and focused on deep understanding. I believe learners succeed when they feel comfortable asking questions and learning through guided practice. I help students build confidence by breaking complex problems into simple steps and encouraging independent thinking.

Outside tutoring, I stay active in programming through personal projects, exploring new tools, and keeping up with modern software development trends. Teaching coding is rewarding because students often discover how powerful and creative programming can be. My aim is to help every learner feel capable, motivated, and confident in building their future with technology.

About the lesson

Programming becomes exciting when learners realise it is simply problem solving in a digital language.
