About Francisco
Hi! My name is Francisco Barretto. With over 15 years of experience in both industry and academia, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, as well as a Master's and Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Creativity from the University of Brasília. My career encompasses roles as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, professor, and academic researcher, where I have consistently driven innovation and excellence. I have had the privilege of teaching at esteemed institutions such as the Federal University of Bahia, the University of the Federal District, and the University of Brasília. I have developed and taught diverse courses, ranging from Artificial Intelligence and Programming Languages to Interactive Art and Game Development. In the professional realm, I have contributed significantly to projects at Medialab/University of Brasília, the United Nations, and other organizations. My work has involved developing AI-based software applications, integrating advanced machine learning techniques, and leading interdisciplinary teams to create immersive, interactive installations for various commercial and artistic applications. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment and am committed to guiding students in exploring the vast potentials of AI, software engineering, and technology in creative and practical contexts.
