About Mona

I have a Master's in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and worked as a Software Engineer for 3+ years at various companies.

I have 8+ years of experience in teaching and tutoring, including 4 years of working as a Teaching Assistant at SFU and as an extracurricular programming teacher at various high schools.

About the lesson

I'm a big believer in individualized learning plans! In my years of teaching, I've seen a diverse range of learning styles among students. And I believe a successful learning experience happens when the learning assistance is catered toward each individual's learning style and personal goals in learning. I also offer consultation on improving study habits and better learning.

I would like to have an initial conversation about who you are and what is the purpose of your request. Are you a student looking for more assistance to keep up with a college/university course? Are you looking for a deeper understanding of a subject you're learning at school? Are you looking for help teaching yourself programming and web design to land a Software Engineering position? After knowing you and your purpose for learning, I will cater a personalized plan for you and request for your feedback. Once finalized, we can start our sessions. I would also like to do regular plan check-ins to reflect on the progress and make any necessary changes.

My services would be best suited for high school/college/university students in STEM, or individuals trying to self-study programming and software development. However, if you think you can find my services useful, don't shy away from reaching out.
