About Charlotte
I have a first class degree in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University. I have experience with tutoring students and I am passionate about helping students enjoy their work and achieve their best possible grades. I currently work full-time as a teaching assistant in a secondary school, and thus have learnt how to adapt any academic support I provide to different individuals/their learning style.

First, I want to identify the specific areas/topics that my students are struggling with. Depending on the level of these students, I will gauge what detail is necessary. Then, I will help explain any key concepts, theorists, texts or debates and engage in discussion with the student around these. I am keen to hear the students’ opinion on the issues at hand, as I believe it is crucial to help them develop a voice of their own. I often set short quizzes at the end of each session to check they understand the content. If the student is preparing for exams, I implement a consideration of exam technique where possible. This could involve planning essays or short answers.
