About Zara

I’m a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies (Violin). I love combining traditional violin skills with modern technology to help my students improve faster and with more clarity. I use slow-down apps to break down tricky passages, digital audio workstations (DAWs) and MIDI notation to create custom backing tracks, and video feedback so students can visually analyze their posture and technique. My passion lies in teaching exciting genres like Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk. I enjoy guiding students through improvisation, encouraging them to find their own voice on the instrument. Creating personalized backing tracks is one of my favorite ways to support creative practice and keep lessons fresh. I believe learning violin should be dynamic and inspiring, blending structure with creativity. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your style, I tailor each lesson to your goals and musical tastes. About the lesson

My violin teaching approach blends traditional techniques with modern technology to create an engaging and effective learning experience. I use metronome apps and backing tracks to help students develop strong rhythm coordination and play confidently with accompaniment. Tuning software ensures pitch accuracy, while slow-motion video playback allows detailed review of posture and bowing technique.

Visual feedback is especially helpful for those who learn best by seeing themselves play, making progress clearer and more motivating. I encourage expressive tone matching, helping students connect emotionally with their music. Lessons are structured but flexible, balancing clear goals with space for creativity and personal expression.

Whether you thrive on tech tools or enjoy exploring music emotionally, I tailor lessons to your unique style and needs. My aim is to build both skill and confidence while keeping learning fresh and fun. Together, we create a supportive space where you can grow as a violinist in a way that feels right for you.
