About Zaya
For the past 14 years, I have taught piano to nearly 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. Teaching piano allows me to combine structured instruction with personal mentorship, helping students develop skill, confidence, and a love for music.
My teaching philosophy focuses on steady progress, technical mastery, and musical expression. I work on posture, hand and finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, scales, sight-reading, and interpretation. I also teach students to connect emotionally with their music, enhancing their performance skills.
I design goal-oriented lesson plans and teach effective at-home practice strategies. Many students have performed successfully in recitals, competitions, and school events, while others have earned high distinctions in graded music examinations.
My aim is to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel inspired, confident, and capable of reaching their full potential as pianists.

My piano teaching style is student-centred and built on communication, creativity, flexibility, and steady improvement. I understand that every learner is unique, so I design personalised lesson plans to meet individual needs. I start by strengthening the basics, including hand coordination, timing control, and music reading skills. I break complex pieces into smaller sections and guide students patiently through each part.
Communication ensures students understand musical elements such as articulation, tempo, and dynamics. I provide regular feedback and practical strategies for effective home practice. Creativity is developed through expressive playing, musical storytelling, and small composition projects.
Flexibility allows me to adapt my teaching methods to match visual, auditory, or hands-on learners. In addition to piano instruction, I teach sight reading, chord progressions, harmony, and ear training to support complete musical understanding. My mission is to build confident pianists who enjoy learning and performing.
