About Serena

With a degree in French and over 9 years of teaching experience, I focus on offering French lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to the unique needs of each student. My lessons are designed to build a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while making learning enjoyable. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adapt my approach to suit individual preferences, whether that’s through visual aids, conversation practice, or structured grammar exercises. I also emphasize the importance of speaking and listening skills, as these are crucial for fluency. Through role-plays, discussions, and real-life scenarios, I help students practice their conversational skills and gain confidence in using French in everyday situations. My lessons are designed to help students become not only proficient in French but also culturally aware, as I incorporate elements of French culture, history, and current events into my lessons.

About the lesson

Having taught French for over 9 years, I believe that the best way to learn a language is through active engagement and continuous practice. My lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs of each student, focusing on speaking, reading, listening, and writing. I work with students from beginner to advanced levels, adjusting the difficulty of lessons according to their current proficiency. In each lesson, I emphasize understanding the underlying structures of the language, focusing on both grammatical accuracy and conversational fluency. I encourage my students to take an active role in their learning by practicing French regularly outside of class, whether through reading French books, watching films, or engaging in conversation with fellow learners. In addition to language skills, I also introduce my students to the culture of French-speaking countries, as I believe that understanding culture is an essential part of becoming truly fluent in a language.
