Shortly to graduate in theoretical physics from the university of Leeds, I am passionate about working with children and have experience with SEN children.

About Elisa
I am a 29 year old mother of one wonderful little girl who has SEN needs and has hard a hard time in the education. I adore children and as I myself have a disability I also struggled in education. Despite my limitations I have a strong desire to learn new things and share knowledge with others. I am very creative and enjoy art. I enjoy reading, creative writing and playing my violin in my spare time. I also love the outdoors and nature. Get in touch if you have any questions I don’t mind answering them and no pressure to decide on anything. Also I am very flexible so if anything in particular is required to help your child learn I can provide it. The fact I don’t have any teaching qualifications is reflected in my price. I do however have much research and experience with my own daughter and teaching her despite her challenges and so I have done much reading on techniques etc and I also have volunteered.

My personal approach is to make learning as fun as can be. And also to keep in my mind how I initially felt learning mathematics for the first time after being out of education for a long time and how daunting some subjects can be for some children. Much time I feel should be given on fundamental concepts and this shouldn’t be rushed in any way. I myself am a very visual learner and feel it is important to use an approach that engages the learner and makes the most of their natural style of learning.

Details
I don’t mind if just the odd lesson here and there is what is required. I don’t mind if people would prefer to just buy lessons as and when they require rather than in a block. Ok thanks
