About Shelbi
I have been tutoring my peers at Texas A&M in how to teach elementary math so I consider myself extremely confident in the material. Additionally, I’ve tutored struggling readers who simply needed more practice and to learn to love reading. I have spent multiple semesters student teaching and getting real experiences in the classroom. I am confident I can help any child succeed and find a love for learning.

I aim to make my lessons engaging, tailored to the student’s individual needs, and relatable to the student’s life. I have created many lesson plans over the years, ranging from kindergarten science, to 2nd grade math, to 4th grade social studies. This practice has helped me focus my attention on engagement and individual needs of students. For example, I include accommodations for students with ADHD and dyslexia.
