About Alexandra

Currently, I am a senior at the University of North Georgia. I am also completing my final semester of student teaching for high school students before graduating this May!

I have spent the past 4 years at the collegiate level studying works of English and the theories of grammar and education. Some of my favorite things I have studied include:
- The Epic of Gilgamesh
- The Bible
- African-American Literature
- Shakespeare
- Theatrical Writing
- British Literature
- World Literature

As part of my collegiate experience, I also had the opportunity to attend a Holocaust Education Workshop, where I became certified in content knowledge regarding Holocaust literature and even met a Holocaust survivor.

As a high school student, I was strong in my English subjects, even getting scores of 4 on both the AP Language and AP Literature exams.

I want to help you be the best student you can be. We will work together to have weekly goals for you to complete, and I want to celebrate every accomplishment it is you have!

About the lesson

If you want a teacher who gives you the reasons WHY we learn the things we do in school, then you have found the right person!

Being in school can be hard and a major struggle. However, I want to help you in English to know that there is a much easier way for EVERY. SINGLE. THING!

I try to ensure my students know I see them as a person before a student, and establish that mutual respect and trust to help you set your goals in your learning.

My typical lessons are often combined with discussions and reflective writing prompts, as well as step-by-step guidance on how to complete various tasks. First, I will show you how to complete an assignment, give you examples, and then have you practice those same techniques.

Whether it is writing, reading, or speeches, you are more capable than you may realize!

These lessons primarily target grades 6-12, but if you are also a college-aged student looking for guidance on your English courses, then I am here to help as well!

My main focuses are literature studies and writing techniques. For instance, I love Shakespeare, historical fiction, and dramatic writing. I also enjoy teaching students about essay writing, how to evaluate sources, and what it means to establish an effective argument.
